Hide CaptionShow CaptionThis simple, yet impressive bridge, dressed for the wedding ceremony with colorful garlands, connects the yard and adds character.
Materials and Tools:

four 2x6 pressure-treated lumber
2x6 redwood deck boards
3" galvanized deck screws

Tip: Build the frame slightly smaller than overall dimensions so it doesn’t protrude out

Steps:
1. Cut the 2x6 pressure-treated lumber — two at three feet and two at five feet. Nail them together to build a square frame.
2. Cut the 2x6 redwood deck boards to three feet and six inches. Starting from the center of frame, screw the decking to the frame using three inch galvanized deck screws. Space them approximately 3/16 inches.
3. Level the area and set the bridge in place. Stake off level.
