Trenne Primavera

This pasta dish is easy, elegant and perfect for a dinner party.

Ingredients:

3 garlic cloves
1 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
1 pound chopped cherry tomatoes, plus 1 cup halved cherry tomatoes
salt
pepper
1 cup grated pecorino
1 lb. penne or trenne Rustichella
basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions:

Using a large skillet, lightly brown the garlic cloves in the olive oil.

Add the chopped tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. Cook on low heat until sauce begins to thicken.

Once sauce starts to thicken, add the cheese.

Cook the pasta in boiling, salted water for approximately 8 minutes. Drain and add to the sauce.

To serve, place on platter with basil leaves, halved cherry tomatoes and grated pecorino.
