Start at the top for your holiday table. For designer Genevieve Gorder's natural table display, she instantly infuses a drab chandelier with Christmas cheer by inserting an ornate arrangement of branches, twigs, birds and ornaments. For the centerpiece, put a row of real sod in a line down the center of the table, using red polka dotted ribbon to cover up the dirt by affixing with white pins. Bright red flowers at regular intervals down the line of grass give the table a touch of springtime even in the dead of winter. Since the ceiling is so busy, calm things down by covering the table and chairs in white fabric and setting the table with plain white china and napkins. Put a little pile of fake leaves and bird's eggs on top of each napkin for a touch of nature.
