Materials and Tools:
plain manila tag
gold glitter spray
silver spray paint
gold paint pen
black card stock
craft glue
scissors
hole punch
assorted flat buttons (without shanks)
thin-gauge wire
wire snips
T-pin or sharp nail
ribbon
Steps:
1. Give black card stock a light dusting of gold glitter spray. Attach glittery card stock to one side of manila paper tag with craft glue and allow to dry. Trim around edges of manila tag to remove excess black card stock.
2. Using hole punch, create hole in top of tag for ribbon.
3. Decide how buttons will be placed on card. Mark where button holes line up by punching through card with a T-pin or sharp nail. Wire buttons onto card and twist ends to securely attach buttons to card. Tip: Alternately, buttons could be hot-glued onto gift tag.
4. Cut card stock into the shape of gift recipient's initial. Spray with silver spray paint and attach letter to gift tag with craft glue. Finally, add recipient's name with a gold paint pen.
