Concrete tube forms in a variety of sizes are used to create a circular photo collage for over the bed. The project starts by cutting the tubes four inches deep. The outsides of the tubes are covered with the same wood-grain contact paper used to make the headboard. A small set of holes are drilled into the sides of the tubes so they can be connected together. A poster-sized photo of the family is laid out flat. The tubes are placed on top of the photo and lines are traced around the tubes marking which part of the photo will go in which tube. The photo is cut in the marked circles then glued to the tops of the tubes. When the glue is dry, the tubes are connected together. Another set of holes are drilled through the sides of the tubes then rope light is threaded through the collage to illuminate each circle from behind.
Headboard $25, lamps $44, bedding $115 and tube art $21
