Find Gardening and Landscaping Tips from HGTV

Whether you’re looking for general gardening tips for growing herbs, details on feng shui gardening or if you simply want expert gardening help, you’ll get what you need on the Home and Garden TV network’s gardening site, HGTV.com.

Growing Herbs
A wonderfully rewarding gardening idea is growing herbs. You can start seedlings in a container for growing herbs indoors, or start them outside when weather warms up, as long as you provide your herb garden enough light. Basil, oregano, mint, parsley, rosemary, sage and thyme are all ideal choices for growing herbs. Plus many herbs can be grown as ornamental displays, topiaries and even a design element in your garden. Plus you get the reward of being able to cook with them.

Feng Shui Gardening
Garden expert Rebecca Kolls explains the history of feng shui gardening on an episode of her general gardening show Rebecca’s Garden. She explains how feng shui is a Chinese art and science that has been around for some 4,000 years, but has only recently caught on in the U.S. And because beautiful gardens are like wonderful rooms, they have elements that include texture color, height, sight, smell and sound—elements that carry or evoke an emotion, a memory or a message—that’s the power of feng shui gardening. Kolls will provide you with all the gardening help you need to see that by simply placing a flower or a sculpture in a particular place, you really are planting a mood and feng shui gardening.
