Santa Fe
Situated along the protective foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of New Mexico's high desert, Santa Fe is one of the oldest cities in the United States. The settlement was officially founded and named in 1609 by the Spanish. Over the centuries, the Native Americans and Anglo adventurers, have contributed to what Santa Fe is today. It is uniquely preserved by maintaining one of the strictest architectural codes in the country, which was designed to keep the historical integrity of the city intact.
