Bathroom Treasures
Host Christine Pullara introduces our 'problem room' as a plain bathroom, which we are about to turn into a fun room with unique personality. Designer Keith Lauer joins Pullara in the workshop to demonstrate how simple and inexpensive it is to make hip bathroom accessories from surplus items. We begin by creating a towel rack from faucet handles and pipe, then a toothbrush/toothpaste holder and a candle from a shrimp-cocktail server. Next, Lauer uses plungers to create a lamp, a cosmetic/shaving mirror and a wastebasket. Lauer then showcases his most elaborate piece: a storage unit made from plungers! Designer Greg Henson adds whimsical flea market finds to jazz up the space, creating a truly transformed, fun and unique bathroom.
