Secret Gardens Of...
Episode SGO-313

Toronto
In this episode, we visit four gardens in Toronto, Canada. At Guild Garden, architectural remnants dot the landscape, and a promenade leads to a fountain. The garden lies on a bluff overlooking Lake Ontario. The Gwilliams garden is a replica of the Ontario landscape. Pyramids of sand mimic the sand dunes of the Great Lakes and a lagoon hides in the back. A garage has been converted into a studio where the Gwilliams can watch their daughters at play. The next stop is the private garden of a former ambassador and a newspaper columnist. The last stop is Niagara Garden, which lies behind a Georgian townhouse in the middle of downtown Toronto. Cascading falls spill over boulders that block out the urban noise. A teahouse lies on the upper terrace.
