Kwanzaa is an observance that celebrates African traditions and culture. Guest Leslie Frederick shares a journal featuring a specific day celebrated during Kwanzaa.

Materials:

scissors
Kwanzaa themed scrapbook papers
letter stencils
adhesive
hole punch
raffia

  1. Cut out shapes from colorful scrapbook paper (figure A) that emphasize the Kwanzaa holiday.

  2. Trace letters for the title, and then cut out.

  3. Adhere the shapes to the page, creating a collage.

  4. Place the letters on a title block that coordinates with the collage.

  5. Punch holes down the left side of journaling pages.

  6. Bind the journal together using raffia (figure B).
