Scrapbooking : Episode SCB-349 -- More Projects »
Adoption is a unique life event that's important to both adoptive family, child and surrounding family members. Guest Renee Sparks reveals unique ways to bring this exciting life event to a scrapbook page.

As with most any scrapbook project, you will want to find colorful paper and embellishments to highlight your pictures. Adoption is a very happy affair and when doing a scrapbook page, you should select stickers, borders and paper that are a reflection of happiness.

If you are creating an adoption themed page about a child from a foreign country (figure A), be sure to add embellishments that represent the child's native area to preserve his or her heritage and develop of sense of identity and pride. Include several pictures or keepsakes and don't forget to journal (figure B) the local traditions and customs.
