Special Addition

As with most any scrapbook project, you will want to find colorful paper and embellishments to highlight your pictures. Adoption is a very happy affair and when doing a scrapbook page, you should select stickers, borders and paper that are a reflection of happiness.

If you are creating an adoption themed page about a child from a foreign country (figure A), be sure to add embellishments that represent the child's native area to preserve his or her heritage and develop of sense of identity and pride. Include several pictures or keepsakes and don't forget to journal (figure B) the local traditions and customs.

A scrapbook that includes pictures and items from the area in which an adopted child was born will help tell his or her personal history in a beautiful way.
