The Hub of the Home
Hosts Matt Fox and Shari Hiller start with the homeowner's pre-selected blue and white accessories in plotting a functional kitchen design scheme. Before decorating, they keep in mind that the dining and living room are visible from the kitchen, so their selections have to look good with those rooms as well. Special lighting is selected for different tasks in the kitchen and Hiller shows some options for window techniques. Finally, the kitchen is transformed into the hub or heart of the home by combining the homeowner's personal tastes, functionality and lifestyle.
