A Cozy Den
After looking up the definition of "den," hosts Matt Fox and Shari Hiller transform a small, bland room into a cozy yet functional space for the entire family. Fox and Hiller use three different paint techniques to age and texture the walls, ceiling and trim. They build a unique broken-plate mosaic bench that fits over the radiator, making it a more practical and attractive part of the room. To finish off the den, they add furnishings and accessories while keeping the bottom, middle and top layers of a room in mind. Finally, learn some fun tips on decorating with candles.
