Born in Salt Lake City, Rebecca Kolls graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in atmospheric science and later became certified as a master gardener. As a meteorologist at a local Salt Lake City station, she enhanced her weather reports with gardening segments. Today, Kolls--with a successful gardening show, magazine and website--lives in Wisconsin with her husband and two children.
