Quilt Shop, Flying Geese Basics and Beyond
The Simply Quilts crew visits busy mom and quilt store owner, Julie Zastrow, at her shop, Q is for Quilts, in Burbank, Calif. Afterward, guest Billie Lauder joins host Alex Anderson to demonstrate how one triangle unit of fabric can lead to the construction of several different quilt blocks. Lauder shows a quick way to construct the Flying Geese block, then demonstrates how variations can be used to construct a Mosaic block, a Dutchman's Puzzle block, a Capital "T" block, Cups and Saucers block and more.
