California Sesquicentennial Quilt
The Simply Quilts cameras hit the road to celebrate the California Sesquicentennial with, what else, a quilt. Hear from the first lady of thestate, designers of the quilt, and the quilters who are creating it. Afterward, guest Zena Thorpe joins host Alex Anderson in the studio to discuss how the California quilt was designed,where the quilters got the fabric and how they got started. Plus, see how some of the applique pieces from the quilt are re-created including grapes, a gray whale and the road to California wagon.
