Antique Quilts and Thimbles
Quilt instructor Terry Holt joins host Alex Anderson to discuss antique quilts dating back to 1850, then to demonstrate how to make an old favorite of the time, The Lady of the Lake quilt. Afterward, thimble sculptor Tommie Lane explains the history of thimbles, and showcases her gold and silver handmade thimbles, tells how to select a thimble, and demonstrates the Lost Wax method of carving thimble designs.
