Landscaping a New House
This house is typical of many new homes. When it was built, a small concrete slab patio was poured at the back door. The yard was graded but left stark and void of plantings or sod. Host Rick Kaldrovics introduces landscape designer Barbara Leake who has a solution for this backyard. Her plan is to add plants of varying heights near the foundation and extend the patio area without pouring more concrete. She will incorporate stone and a grassy area and give it a boundary by creating a planted berm.
