A Contemporary Garden
You can transform a small, ordinary garden into a contemporary oasis by sprucing up some of the existing features to give them an up-to-date look and adding a few new features to play up the modern theme. Host Ken Bastida and landscape designer Rich Radford give a backyard more privacy using three screens made of prefab redwood lattice. They use double-walled plastic (commonly used in greenhouses) to build a high-tech fence that offers privacy but still lets the light through. They extend the living space by installing a Sedona snap-cut stone patio.
