Remote Control, Scale, 35mm Camera
The first TV remote control was introduced by Zenith in 1950. It was hooked to the TV by a cable and was called the "lazy bones." Although the concept was applauded, its fate was sealed when consumers keep tripping over the unsightly cable. They ended up being controlled by infrared light, which solved all of the problems of earlier remotes and helped this device blossom into your armchair's favorite sidekick. Next, the scale has its humble beginning in the ancient world of commerce. Whenever goods such as grain, sugar and salt were sold, they had to be weighed. In the late 19th century, people began to take a novel interest in their own weight. Balance scales were impractical for this job, so engineers developed a device on which people could stand. Then, although the first photographs were taken in the 1840s by Frenchman Louis Daguerre, the complicated development process kept photography out of reach for most people until the late 1800s. It was Oscar Bonarch of Germany who made cameras as easy to use as they are today. The camera he designed took the same film used in movie cameras.
