Industrial Loft House

House of Squares and More
We take a look at three of the most unusual houses in the country, starting in Houston, Texas, where an unusual cubist house by architect Gordon Wittenberg towers over a major freeway. Next, in Berkeley, Calif., the neighbors think the garden art all over this house is positively trippy. But never have neighbors been more upset than when this metal-clad industrial-style house went up in a historic old neighborhood of Seattle! Architect Eric Cobb wanted to re-create the wide-open industrial loft feel that the owner had in his former house in New York.
