Michele Addey

Michele Addey, host of Double Take.

Originally from England, Michele Addey is an arts aficionado and loves pretty things. Her yen for design began as a budding artist in college where she majored in Fine Arts and went on to study painting in Paris. She has worked as a scenic artist for the stage, commercials and blockbuster movies, including Star Wars for George Lucas' Industrial Light and Magic (ILM).

Addey's segue to interior design began when she started faux finishing walls and making draperies, bedspreads and slipcovers for people's homes. Addey's clients would inevitably ask for her design opinion and next thing she knew, they were paying her to go shopping with them. She loves every step of the design process from brainstorming to resourcing and lets the room's architecture be her guide. In her own home, she has empty spaces that will stay that way until she finds just the right piece at the right price.
