Aiming for AustinOregon natives Beth and Carl Miner first met at a music studio when they were 15. Beth, an aspiring singer, was recording her first album. That meeting eventually led to marriage, and now, nine years later, a musical collaboration known as Sweetestday, an acoustic blend of rock and pop with a slight country influence. Six months ago, the young couple decided to live out their dreams of making it in the world of professional music. They sold their three-bedroom, two-bath house in Portland, and headed south to Austin, Texas, the Live Music Capital of the World. They are living in a tiny, non-descript rental, but they are hoping to move into a large move-in-ready place close to downtown, where their day jobs and the honky-tonks are. Real estate agent Tom Sunstrom signs on to help with the hunt.
