Andrika Lawren has been an active force within the Toronto art scene for several years. She began her classical training at George Brown Theatre School and completed her education with a diploma in Interior Design from the Academy of Design in Toronto. She's best known for her work as the on-camera designer for Much Music's original design show
Much In Your Space. She can also be seen on HGTV's
Home to Go. As a stylist and designer in Toronto, Lawren has worked with many clients from Chrysler and Hudson's Bay Company to magazines such as
Style at Home.
Fusing her knowledge of film and television with her design skills, Lawren produced and production designed MAGNUS OPUS, a groundbreaking feature film investigating the nature of art, directed by Andrew Kenneth Martin and Gordon Currie. She has art directed the feature film Redeemed Believers Banquet Hall, Seventh in Order Media Productions, Trish Bentley's debut single Out of This and Raoul and the Big Time's Cold Outside for Twist of Fate Productions. Her experience in the Canadian Theatre industry include a long-running lead role in Toronto's well-established Second City as well as professional stage credits in the productions of Life Lands Down and Touching.
Lawren's cultural instinct and originality shines through in all of her work. Through her involvement in the Canadian design and production industries, she cultivates a dynamic product, further challenging our understanding of art.
