My First Place

The Good, The Bad, The Really Funny

(Continued from Page 5)
"I bought my first place on Halloween 1963 in Brandon, Florida. It had a brick front and oak floors, not bad for $11,500. During our 27 years there we had two children, waited out hurricanes, experienced a fire—and the house was struck by lightning--twice. From holiday celebrations to get-togethers with family and friends, this house was always filled with love and sharing. Guests laughed when we turned the air conditioner below 70 so we could enjoy the fireplace in our warm Florida climate. This home was a treasure chest of laughter, tears and many fond memories."
