Marina Hildebrand is passionate about improving the way her clients live, work and play. She is the principal of Regina-based Marina Hildebrand Design in Canada and specializes in both residential and commercial interiors.

Hildebrand believes design improves the quality of life and she is committed to making design easily accessible to everyone. She focuses on the way people relate to their space, believing that incorporating the right design into one's life and surroundings naturally improves the way one works and feels.

Design Philosophy: Surround yourself with things you either love or are functional (that means everything from paring knives to your CDs). If it doesn't fall into either category, get rid of it. You get extra marks if you love it and it looks good!

Biggest Design Pet Peeve: The belief that it's not okay to paint wood, especially oak.

Favorite Rule of Thumb: If you can't think of at least two uses for it, don't buy it!
