Eric Stromer, host of HGTV's Kitchens and Baths 2008
Chicago native Eric Stromer is the host of HGTV's Kitchens and Baths 2008, author of the new Do-It-Yourself FAMILY, correspondent for The Insider and one of People magazine's "Sexiest Men Alive."

His passion for the arts and an early break in commercials led Stromer to enroll in the University of Colorado's theater department. After realizing a structured curriculum in drama was not satisfying, he found his niche in construction. Stromer spent four years painting and putting crown molding in just about every house in Colorado, which laid the foundation for his future career. Over Your Head is a series that focuses on how homeowners deal with the aftermath of a renovation project gone bad. That's when Stromer's team comes to save the day.

Stromer is also an accomplished singer/songwriter who has written and performed music for The Drew Carey Showtime Special, The Wild Side, starring Christopher Walken and numerous television shows. He was even honored with the Best Comedy Short award at the Houston Film Festival for producing, scoring and starring in The Acting Thing, a comedy film that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
