Cambridge, Mass., homeowner, Elizabeth Gibb recently began looking for a way to give her space-challenged master bathroom an elegant makeover. Her objective was two-fold. First, give this pint-size room an illusion of grandeur not normally found in a 6x6 space. Second, shed some light on the dark and dingy area.

With only 36 square feet to work with, Elizabeth and her team began by treating the walls with a light, almost ethereal color scheme. The airy atmosphere is assisted by a skylight, which also creates the illusion of added space.
