When people speak of the Santa Fe design, what they are really talking about is the pueblo-revival style--architecture that is one with its environment and places a strong emphasis on natural materials such as wood, stone and mud bricks.

Thanks to designer John Dick, Sharon and Don McLaughlin's master bathroom is a stunning example of pueblo-revival style. That style is most evident in the room's ceiling. Adding architectural interest and support to the ceiling are handcarved viga beams, rough-hewn rafters and corbels. This style of architecture is characteristic of American Indian and Spanish-style homes in the Southwest.
