Doctor Rich Toy wanted a loft home that reflected his love of entertaining. So he asked Portland designer Jeff Lamb to take the cocktail imagery as far as it would go.

The solution: The architect opened up the 2,000-square-foot home and planted a cube-shaped master bath smack in the middle of the loft—just like an ice cube in a tall glass. The master bathroom is between the living space and the master bedroom. So by using glass walls, the bathroom itself became a light fixture, illuminating the space while still providing ample privacy.
