Bio-SIPS stands for biologically friendly structural insulated panels. The panels are composed of recycled cardboard paper outer layers sandwiching a soy oil-based insulation. The demonstration home used no studs in the construction, just the environmentally friendly SIPs. NOTE: The insulation is one of the elements used in the BioSIPS product.
