House Detective
Episode HDT-111

Lead Pipes and Exterior Vents
Syracuse, New York, is known as a picturesque University town, and a quaint cottage-style house fits right into the neighborhood. But for Terry and Beth Smith and their daughter Sarah, despite the ideal location, their snug little house is not enough space for their growing family. They plan to put their house on the market, but first they have called in a house detective to give it a once over.

Then, meet homeowner James Wells, who wants to retire to his home in Wadmala, South Carolina, in about 10 years. Right now he is renting the property and wants to take a proactive approach to any structural problems he might face in the future, so he called home inspector Robert Gallahorn to evaluate the property.
