House Detective
Episode HDT-107

Down Spout Extensions and Slate Shingle Roof
First we visit a four-bedroom ranch-style home in Walnut Creek, California, about 25 miles east of San Francisco. The lot is generous for the area, and the couple has already been outbid on previous homes, so this one might be the one--after a three-year search. With a baby on the way, they hope the house detective doesn't find any deal breakers.

Then, see if a 1930s Tudor in the Chevy Chase section of Washington, D.C., is a terrific find for a couple of soon-to-be-newlyweds--or if there are "bats in the belfry" of this aging home. Will the prospective buyers run screaming for the exit?
