Steps:

1. Spray the chemical stripper on the torn wallpaper (figure A). Let sit according to the manufacturer's instructions.
2. Scrape off the old damaged wallpaper (figure B).
3. Cut the new strip of wallpaper long enough to allow for the pattern to align and match the undamaged part. Allow about two inches extra on the bottom for trimming.

4. Apply adhesive lightly and evenly to wall (figure C). Hang the paper (figure D).

5. Force out any air bubbles by smoothing the surface using a plastic scraper in a diagonal downward motion (figure E). Trim the excess paper with a utility knife.
