Penn Holderness, host of Designer Finals.
Penn Holderness is a dreamer. After graduating from the University of Virginia in 1996, he was thoroughly confused as to what direction his life should take. After briefly entertaining thoughts of law school and the ministry (like his father), Holderness opted for broadcasting. He began by interning for a year in his hometown of Durham, North Carolina, and then headed west for Grand Junction, Colorado. Faced with the daunting task of covering sports in a market that had none, Holderness persevered by inventing sports news, whether it was starting his own Polar Bear Swimming Club or learning to paraglide and skydive.

In 1999 he moved south to Orlando, Florida, and started as a sports reporter/producer but was quickly promoted to weekend sports anchor at the young age of 24. As head of the sports department and host of Sports Edge, a fast-moving recap show, Holderness finally found the direction he was looking for. He now adds host of Designer Finals to his interesting list of career challenges.
