Recognized internationally as the "Queen of Paint," television personality, author, syndicated columnist and public speaker Debbie Travis continues to share her enthusiastic vision of home decorating on many media fronts. Through her unique combination of entertainment and education, Travis manages to make all of her projects easy and fun for viewers and readers alike.
Her television career began in 1995 when Debbie Travis' Painted House premiered, based on her real-life experiences decorating her clients' homes. The show raised home decorating to a new level of entertainment by combining part how-to, part travelogue, part confessional and part soap opera, all infused with Travis' quick wit and good humor. In spring 2003, she raised the bar again with Debbie Travis' Facelift, a reality-based decorating and renovation show. Travis is also the author of many books and writes a weekly newspaper column, which is carried in major papers across North America.
Travis lives in Montreal, Canada, with her husband and two teenage sons.
