The Caplan home was a wreck—literally. A while back, a car drove into their home and destroyed the landscaping, part of the sun porch and took out one of the porch columns. Tired of the lopsided look of a one-columned portico, the homeowners decided it was time to fix their damaged Colonial.

Designer Yvette Piaggio and landscape architect Paul Grano helped turn this bland and broken Colonial into a Cape Cod-style retreat. Highlights include a circular flagstone walkway, a freshened sun porch and gorgeous landscaping.
