Leslie Hindman Bio

HGTV host Leslie Hindman opened her own auction house in Chicago in 1982 and her firm grew into the largest auction house in the Midwest. She later sold her company to Sotheby's, helping to run Sothebys' Midwest division until 1999, when she left to work on her own Web site and a handful of other projects, including HGTV's At the Auction and The Appraisal Fair.
