Steve Walker and Jan Yanehiro

Steve Walker began his career as a TV anchor in Iowa, and later joined Seattle's KOMO-TV as a reporter on animals and their environment. After moving to New York to host The Pet Department on FX, Walker began to explore local flea markets and expand his knowledge of antiques and collectibles. He opened an antique store in Seattle in 1996, and became Appraise It! co-host in 1998. Walker currently lives in Southern California with his dog, Jack.

Jan Yanehiro hosted a nightly program on KPIX-TV in San Francisco, has received several Emmys for her work, and was inducted into the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame. When she's not hosting Appraise It!, Yanehiro maintains an interest in the community, serves on several boards and associations, and has a busy family life with her husband and five children.
