Stucco Repair

Stucco walls are very durable, but because stucco is such a rigid material, it can develop cracks as a house settles. Here's how to repair such gaps and holes.

Materials

wire mesh
pre-mixed stucco compound
powdered pigments
scarifier
brush
bucket

1. Remove the loose stucco with a chisel.
2. Cut wire mesh to the approximate size of the hole, fit it into the wall, and cover it with pre-mixed stucco compound.
3. Apply two coats of stucco and let it cure for two days, giving it a mist of water every six hours, then add the texture.
