Steps:

1. Decide where you will install the tile. You may want to do a dry run with the design before beginning installation. Cut the cement board to size, then lay it on a table or the floor and arrange the tiles on it to get a design you like. Take a digital photo, or use a grease pencil to mark the position of each tile on its front.

2. Screw the cement board into the studs using your cement-board screws with your power drill. At the same time, tuck the angle iron behind the cement board, and use Liquid Nails to fasten it to the cement board.

3. Screw the 1" x 2" to the bottom of the cement board (figure A). It will prevent the tile from slipping down while drying.

4. Apply thin-set to the cement board with a 1/4" x 1/4" notch trowel. Apply only as much as you can cover before the thin-set dries. Work in sections for best results.

5. Press glass tile sheets onto newly applied thin-set. Press them into place firmly, but not so hard that the thin-set squeezes out. Let the thin-set dry overnight.

6. Mix the grout and apply it with a grout float. Work diagonally to the layout of the tiles to keep the edge of the float from catching a tile and possibly pulling it out of place. Hold the float at a 45-degree angle to make sure you press grout into all joints. Clean excess grout with a clean damp sponge. You may need to repeat the cleaning process several times until there is no more "haze" on the tile surface.

7. Seal the grout, and wipe it clean with a dry rag. Buff the tile when the grout sealer is dry.
