Simple Shelving

Combine decorative finials and brackets to make useful and stylish shelves for displaying favorite accessories.

Steps:

1. Paint shelves, brackets, trim and finials with two coats, allowing it to dry between layers.
2. Measure and mark finial locations on the shelves. Use locking pliers to put the double-sided finial screws further in so they don't poke through the shelves .
3. Drill pilot holes and screw brackets and finials in place.
4. Attach trim to the edges with finish nails. Fill holes and touch-up with paint .
