Use pieces of ripped wallpaper to add big impact to an all-white room. It's easier than typical wallpapering and creates additional texture.
Materials:

wallpaper tray
wallpaper (Sherwin-Williams Paper Illusions Collection in Bronze #5802015)
plastic wallpaper smoother
sponge

Steps:

1. Start along the straight portions of the walls, ripping the straight edges off the roll. Dip the piece into warm water in the wallpaper tray and take it right to the wall. Line the straight edge up to the wall edges. Smooth it with the plastic tool and/or dab it with a damp sponge.

2. Immediately add the next piece, overlapping it a bit to avoid the white lines from shrinkage that occur during a normal wallpapering job.

3. Once most of the edges are papered, fill in the center using the same technique but without straight sides. Once done, don't be alarmed when the paper looks like it has all bubbled up. They go away as soon as it dries.
