Beautify Your Bookcase

Designer Susan Welch Heeney says to use your bookcases to create an intriguing showcase not only for your books, but also for small artwork and decorative items.

• Instead of just lining your collection of books vertically, group them and create small groupings of books that are placed vertically and horizontally.
  
  
• After arranging the books, add small decorative items and artwork on top of and to the sides of your books laid on their sides (see photo).
  
  
• The larger your bookcase, the more your room will benefit from this easy designers secret.
