Materials:
AquaBond (Woody Yellow)
one 9" roller frame with 3/8" roller cover
cotton rags
two 2" or 4" chip brushes
cheesecloth
Benjamin Moore AquaPearl (#1225 and #434)
AquaCreme
AquaColors (Dark Brown, French Red and Black)
2 paint trays
Steps:
- Apply two base coats of the AquaBond Woody Yellow. Let dry.
- Pour the #434 Benjamin Moore paint into tray.
- Using a two-inch or four-inch chip brush, apply splotches randomly in about a 4 'x 4' area, varying in size from a softball to a dinner plate.
- Use a wet but wrung-out rag to blend this into adjacent wall areas of no color . Look to create three values by pushing it out to become very light and leaving some areas darker.
- Repeat process around room until complete. Let dry.
- Repeat steps 2, 3, 4 and 5 using the color #1225. Work in and over the first green color. Look to even out values of light and dark areas. Let dry.
- Tint AquaCreme with AquaColors Dark Brown, French Red and Black. A little AquaCreme goes a long way so test the color until satisfied.
- Apply this a 4' x 4' section with a nine-inch roller for 100-percent coverage.
- Take a puffed-up cheesecloth ball and pat AquaCreme glaze evenly.
- Repeat around room, working wet areas into wet to avoid lap marks.
