Kitty Bartholomew shows an unusual treatment for a problem wall designed by Fernando Diaz (figure A):

  1. Cut corrugated cardboard into 24" by 24" squares and apply it to the wall, alternating horizontal ribs and vertical ribs.
  2. Attach it with an upholstery tack at each corner (figure B).
  3. Cover the seams with twine.
