Slipcovered furniture in the living room adds to the "cowgirl cottage" atmosphere. The slipcovers are Willis' own designs.

KC Willis has always been a cowgirl at heart. When she turned untapped creativity into a career, she changed her life...and her home. Today, Willis is one of the country's premiere fiber-collage artists with a style that is 100-percent her own.

Willis transfers images of women of the West (like Calamity Jane and Annie Oakley) to vintage cloth, then adds written sentiments to give the women "voices." She also designs slipcovers, pillows and other home furnishings. Many of these furnishings decorate her charming pitched-roof bungalow, an oddity in a city which features mostly pueblo-style homes.

The earth tones of her interior create a neutral backdrop for her art and afford her a home unlike any other. It's safe to say KC Willis approached decorating with the kind of passion and confidence that would've made even Annie Oakley proud.
