Williams House

The ghost of a missing gold miner can still be heard walking around this historic cottage in Breckenridge, Colo. John Williams and his wife Emma built the original home in 1885. As their gold mining fortunes grew, they dressed it up with a new front parlor, clapboard siding and paint. But in 1906, John mysteriously disappeared. Emma and their children moved away. Over the years, the house passed through several families. In 1989 the cottage was restored by Fred and Diane Jaynes and opened to the public as a bed and breakfast.
