Lily Mariye has played nurse Lily Jarvik on the NBC television series ER for 10 years. The actress, singer and dancer has branched out and added director and screenwriter to her resume with her first short feature, The Shangri-la Cafe. Produced through the American Film Institute's Directing Workshop for Women, the critically acclaimed feature is set in her hometown of Las Vegas.

As an actress, Mariye has had guest roles in more than 25 television shows including Chicago Hope, Murphy Brown and Melrose Place. Her film credits include Mighty Joe Young, The Doctor, The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas, The Shadow and The New Age.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Mariye attended UCLA where she graduated with a BA in Theatre Arts. A resident of Los Angeles, Mariye lives with husband, award-winning Warner Brothers recording artist and saxophonist Boney James.
