Anike and John Fuller put in long hours at a North Carolina business college, but instead of getting a degree they got a new home. The couple stumbled across the building in 1989 while they were dating. After three years of painstaking restoration, they've turned it into a unique home for themselves and their daughters.Civil War veteran John D. Hodges built the Hodges Business School in 1894. Students paid their way by working on Hodges' farm until the college closed in 1911. From the outside, the school looks almost exactly the way John Hodges designed it over 100 years ago. The Fullers still have people peak in their windows from time to time, not realizing that a family actually lives there. It may not be the most private residence in Mocksville, but thats a small price to pay for being able to call an official historic landmark home.
